I came across these really cool early 20th century receipts from local businesses in New York City. These all seem to be for local businesses. Click on the images to see them larger. Compliments to Ephemeral New York.

It sounds cliché for a designer to say this, but it’s really too bad that things aren’t produced with this level of care and detail regularly anymore. These relics from the past remind us both of how far we’ve come and why it’s important to remember the history of design.
